Grovara Seeks 5 Pennsylvania Organic and Natural Brands to Join New B2B Global Marketplace

Pennsylvania has been a manufacturing powerhouse ever since William Penn helped establish the first mills in and around Philadelphia.

Then came oil, textiles, iron, coal, steer, lumber, and machines. 

These days, food and beverage make up the majority of PA manufacturing’s second-biggest sector. Pennsylvania farmers increased sales of organic yields by 12% from 2019 to 2020, and the state now ranks third in the U.S. for most organic commodities sales at $742 million.

Why do we care so much about Pennsylvania? Well, for one thing, we’ve called Philadelphia home ever since our founding. We also know Pennsylvania cares about us. Grovara received hundreds of thousands of dollars in funding from Ben Franklin Technology Partners, one of the nation’s longest-running and successful technology-based economic development programs. 

Our very own backyard, which has been instrumental in Grovara’s own path to success, is ripe for the picking, which is why Grovara is putting out the call to five Pennsylvania makers to join our first B2B global marketplace for American-made natural and organic food and beverage products.

We are especially interested in brands with products in the functional beverage, keto/paleo, and plant-based categories.  Over $5 million in domestic sales annually is preferred – and it’s a bonus if you are already dabbling with international sales on your own.  We will look at other areas, too – though the product must be formidable and show strong category promise. 

Our current Pennsylvania-based brand, Brad’s Plant-Based, just went live on the Grovara marketplace. You know from the Pipersville, Bucks County company from its line of raw chips and other healthy and delicious snacks.

This opportunity will close on Sept. 1, at which time Grovara will review all the applicants and decide which of the five Pennsylvania brands will be invited to join our growing catalog and proprietary e-commerce platform.
